General Overview

On the general screen (when you click on the “Settings” tab, you can see 9 buttons, which will take you to the prefered page. Which are rounded “red” on the screen - graphics / weather engine settings (they are directly affecting rendering), 3 last ones - texture environmental module controls)

Sky Rendering - Overview

Setting name Description
Aerosols density This slider controls the density of atmosphere colour. More than you set this slider - the more you see the sky colour around you.
Recommended value: 90-95%.
Aerosols saturation This slider controls the saturation of the atmosphere. More than you set this slider - the more you see saturated sky around you.
Recommended value: 100%.
Haze effect density This slider controls the haze effect density. More than you set this slider - the more you see the haze effect around you. In mountains / high terrain density areas we recommend putting it to 0%.
Recommended value: 10%.
Moon and stars’ brightness This slider controls the moon and stars brightness. More than you set this slider - the brighter you see the moon and stars.
Recommended value: 20%.
Sun effect This slider controls sun brightness. More than you set this slider - the brighter you see the sun.
Recommended value: 50%.
Live Atmosphere If you turn on this - all-sky rendering settings will be adjusted automatically depending on the weather situation.
Recommended value: Off.
Active Aerial Blending If you turn on this - aerial blending (Raleigh scattering and etc) will be calculated dynamically depending on terrain factors and etc.
Recommended value: On.
Eye Adaption This is the effect of eye adaption. Works only in the interior of aircraft.

Clouds Rendering - Overview

Setting name Description
Render Scaling This slider controls the scale of rendered clouds. More than you set this slider - clouds will be more scaled.
Recommended value: 95-100%.
Cutoff Edge Softness This slider controls the softness of clouds cut off. More than you set this slider - softer clouds will cut off behind the horizon.
Recommended value: 100%.
Morph Transition Speed This slider controls the speed of weather changes. More than you set this slider - faster your weather will change.
Recommended value: 45-50%.
Shadow Depth This slider controls the depth of clouds’ shadows. More than you set this slider - more depth (darker) will be clouds shadows.
Recommended value: 60-70%.
Stretching scale This slider controls the stretching (length) scale of clouds. More than you set this slider - the more stretched clouds you will see.
Recommended value: 60%.
Live Clouds If you turn on this - all cloud rendering settings will be adjusted automatically depending on the weather situation and etc.
Recommended value: Off.
Reduce Flickering If you turn on this - clouds will less flicker, but also you will see repetitive cloud textures.
Recommended value: Off.
3D Clouds Passing Effect If you turn on this - you will have volumetric clouds passing effect, which adds more immersion into the flying experience.
Recommended value: On.
3D Landing Lights in Clouds Effect If you turn on this - you will have 3d landing lights reflection effect in clouds / fog and etc. This may enhance your flying experience.
Recommended value: On.

Weather Engine - Overview

Setting name Description
Maximum Surface Wind This slider controls the maximum surface wind. More than you set this slider - the maximum value of wind will be rendered.
Recommended value: 200 kt.
Icing Simulation Level This slider controls the level of icing simulation. More than you set this slider - icing simulation will be more expressed.
Recommended value: 75%.
Turbulence Simulation Level This slider controls the level of turbulence simulation. More than you set this slider - turbulence simulation will be more expressed.
Recommended value: 75%.
Refresh Interval This slider controls how often the weather is updated from the servers. The more you set this slider, the more often the weather will be updated. Recommended value: 40 min.
Minimum RVR This slider controls the minimum runway visual range. More than you set this slider - more quality visibility you will have instead of IRL synopsis.
Recommended value: 0 m.
Minimum Braking Action This slider controls the minimum breaking action. More than you set this slider - The better your runway braking action will be regardless of the actual synopsis.
Recommended value: 70%.
Weather Interpolation Scale This slider controls the level of scattering when interpolating the weather grid. The more you set it, the greater will be the interpolation factor.
Recommended value: 0% (We recommend this to 0-10%, and only exceptionally if the weather is described incorrectly to increase it.)
Live Seasons This button is responsible for the automatic change of seasons.
Attention! This only works when live weather is enabled.
Recommended value: On.
Generate Cirrus on Tops This button is responsible for generating cirrus clouds on high points.
Attention! this can cause bugs related to the incorrect distribution of the cloud altitude grid, which is why we do not recommend using it for online flights.
